The birthday is Friday, it's Tuesday, and everything you can think of either takes a week to ship or looks exactly like what it is. The good news: an evening can be arranged faster than most objects can be delivered.
✦
What Can Still Be Done This Week
- ✦A picnic for two — Golden Hour is $200 for an hour at sunset, Pillow Talk is $500 for two hours with a tent, flowers, an activity and a photo session. Both can be set up on short notice if the date is free
- ✦Fresh flowers — 25 roses $180, 50 roses $250, brought in a vase of water so they last the whole picnic and go home afterward. A keepsake box of 24 roses is $150
- ✦A photo session — $125 for fifteen minutes, added to any picnic
- ✦Glowing letter lights spelling 'Happy Birthday' for $40, and a chalkboard sign with their name for $10
Short notice costs a little more, and we'd rather say so plainly: inside three days there's a $30 rush fee because we rebuild the week around the date, plus $30 more if the order includes fresh food or flowers, since that's a separate shopping trip the morning of.
✦
What Needs More Notice
- ✦Cake — pick it at least three days ahead so the bakery has time. $75 for 2–6 people, $120 for 8–12, with the writing on top included
- ✦Popular dates — Fridays, Saturdays, and the whole of October, November, March and April go weeks ahead. If the date matters, that's the real deadline, not our rush fee
- ✦Cold sparks, the heart arch and the bigger proposal setups. These are worth planning properly rather than squeezing in
Planning something like this?
We set up styled picnics all across Austin — built before you arrive, packed away after you leave.

If the Date Itself Is the Problem
When the day is already full — or you genuinely have no idea when they're free — give the picnic as a gift card from our gift shop and let them pick the date. It's valid for two months. You can send it on its own or with roses, a box of roses, a texture painting gift box, or a photoshoot gift card ($125 for 15 minutes, where we come to their event).
Late is not the same as too late. The only version that doesn't work is the one you keep postponing.
✦
How to Book Quickly
- ✦Check the date first — the form only shows times that are actually free, and grays out days that are taken, so you'll know in seconds
- ✦Deposit starts at $100 and the balance is due at least a day before. Card or Zelle, both fine
- ✦Mueller Lake Park is our favorite for sunset; Auditorium Shores has the downtown skyline, and it's calmest on a weekday
- ✦Tell them a time and what to wear, and leave the rest alone. Soft creams and beiges look best against our setups
We only get one run at this life, and the good evenings are the ones somebody decided on. Decide on this one.
