We Get One Life. Give Moments, Not More Things

Nobody remembers the fourth candle set. They remember the evening someone set a table for them under the trees. Why experience gifts are the ones that stay.

We Get One Life. Give Moments, Not More Things

Think back to the gifts you were given over the last five years. Most people can name one, maybe two. Now think about the times somebody planned something for you — dinner you didn't organize, a day someone took off work for you, a trip you didn't book. Those come back in detail: the weather, what you wore, what was said.

That's not sentimentality, it's just how memory works. Objects settle into the background of a room within a week. An evening stays where you put it.

We get one life, and it isn't a rehearsal. Waiting for the anniversary that ends in a zero, the year that's less busy, the month the calendar clears — that year doesn't arrive on its own. If not now, then when exactly?

✦

Four Reasons Experiences Outlast Objects

  • ✦You're inside the gift together. A sweater is handed over; an evening is shared, and both of you carry it afterward
  • ✦It doesn't need storage, and it can't go out of style, get returned, or end up in a drawer
  • ✦It comes with photographs. Ours does literally — every good frame from the session goes back to you within ten days, and those become the thing on the wall
  • ✦It gives back the rarest thing either of you has: an evening where nothing is being asked of you

What Giving a Moment Looks Like Here

We set up styled picnics across Austin — Mueller Lake Park, Auditorium Shores, backyards, wherever the person you're giving it to would be happiest. We bring the table, cushions, umbrella, string lights, glasses, water and tea, and we take it all away afterward. There's nothing to plan, carry, or clean.

  • ✦Golden Hour, $200 — an hour at sunset for two, the simplest way to give someone a proper evening
  • ✦Pillow Talk, $500 — two hours, a tent with cushions and flowers, an activity to do together, a 15-minute photo session, and a chalkboard sign with their names
  • ✦Daydream, $950 — everything above plus a reaction video, fifty roses and fresh petals, for the birthday or anniversary that deserves the big version
  • ✦The Gathering and The Canvas, from $380 — for five to sixteen people, when the moment belongs to a whole group

Planning something like this?

We set up styled picnics all across Austin — built before you arrive, packed away after you leave.

Book Your Picnic

✦

When You Don't Know the Date Yet

Our gift shop sells the picnic as a gift card, so you hand over the evening and they choose the day. You can send it with fresh roses that arrive in a vase of water, a keepsake box of roses, a texture painting gift box, or a photoshoot gift card — 15 minutes for $125 plus $50 for the trip, where we come to their event and shoot it. Gift cards are valid for two months.

The best gifts are not the ones people unwrap. They're the ones people are still describing a year later.

How to Give One Well

  • ✦Pick the moment, not the price — a $200 sunset hour that actually happens beats a $600 evening you keep postponing
  • ✦Book at least three days ahead; inside three days there's a $30 rush fee, plus $30 more if fresh food or flowers are involved
  • ✦Add the photo session. $125 for fifteen minutes is the surest way to make a memory physical
  • ✦Tell them the time and what to wear, and let the rest be a surprise. Soft creams, beiges and warm neutrals photograph beautifully against our setups

You will not remember the year you skipped it. You'll remember the year you didn't.
